Kids

Today is Tuesday. We survived Monday, barely. The kids are still not recovered completely from our weekend in Fargo. I don't know if my kids are more sensitive to getting less sleep because we're pretty strict about getting them to bed at a decent time, or what? Gage is completely annoyed by any sound that comes out of Emma's mouth. Emma loves to sing. She sings all of the time. I love listening to her. She's really pretty good at it, in my opinion. Gage hates listening to her sing and constantly harasses her when she does. Yesterday, when Gage was playing with his Star Wars Legos contraptions, he was whistling. It was bothering me just a little, but nothing I couldn't deal with. However, I wanted to point out to him that he was making this noise, and why was it okay for him to make obnoxious whistling noises when Emma can't sing without hearing it from him? He had no answer for me. He just stopped whistling.

Emma's first day back at hockey was yesterday since the break. She spent most of her time on the ice making ice angels. She has been begging and begging to go out and do some ice dancing. I told her this was her chance. Strawberry Shortcake makes it look very easy on her "Let's Dance" DVD. Emma came back all upset because she couldn't do it. I told her that if she was really interested in it, I would sign her up to take figure skating lessons. She said she wants me to sign her up. We'll see what happens.

Not much on tap today. We have a few errands to run. Hockey for Emma over the lunch hour. I need to make myself a list on what I want to get organized to get myself a little more motivated.

Hey Stacy-- can you post a picture of those chests you got at the DU banquet? They sound pretty cool and I'd like to get a better idea of what they look like!
